Another person was arrested today in the ongoing Operation Summer Heat Wave narcotics sting.
Agent J. Puhak of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Kareem Deshawn “Knowledge” Mayo of the Lincoln Heights community this morning.
Mayo, 40, marks the 18th person arrested thus far in the operation. While declining to say how many will be arrested in the operation, Puhak said, “We are still committed to the efforts and there are still offenders to be apprehended.”
Puhak said in a press release the arrest stemmed from a June investigation where Mayo was allegedly linked to marijuana sales and possession.
Mayo was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule VI, sell schedule VI and deliver schedule VI.
He was jailed on $1,500 bond and has a June 5 court date.
