A Pendleton sex offender was arrested Wednesday after a bail bondsman turned him in to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Brenda Burnette said Gerald Lamont Warren, 33, was wanted for a second-degree rape that was reported July 25.

Warren was also served a warrant for failing to change address as a sex offender and resist a public officer. In addition to the Northampton County warrants, Warren was served with a Guilford County warrant for failing to appear on a charge of obtaining property by false pretense and Halifax County warrants for felony worthless check and obtaining property by false pretense.

His total bond was set at $345,000. He has a probable cause hearing set for January 10.
