Yet another person has been arrested in a case that solved 44 breaking and entering crimes across the region.

Detective R. Somogyi of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Friday arrested 40-year-old Sedrick Smith of Enfield and charged him with possession of stolen goods.

During the course of the larger investigation, Somogyi learned that Smith allegedly bought items that were stolen during the crimes.

Somogyi recovered two laptop computers and a flat-screen television.

Smith was jailed on $1,000 bond and has a January 9 court date.
