Two felons are back behind bars after police say a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and a stolen gun, WITN reports.

Wendell Rouse, Jr. and Vernal Seay, both of Roanoke Rapids, are behind bars in the Pitt County Detention Center after getting arrested Thursday.

Greenville police say they conducted an investigative traffic stop on Rouse and Seay and found two ounces of marijuana and a .380 caliber gun that was reported stolen from Edgecombe County.

The two were booked under $100,000 bonds each.
