A Littleton man was arrested for allegedly selling an older model stolen pickup for scrap and having a firearm despite being a convicted felon.

Detective O.L. Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the larceny of the vehicle occurred on November 21 in the area of Davis Memorial Drive outside Roanoke Rapids.

Wiltsie learned the stolen vehicle had been sold for scrap metal and warrants were obtained for the arrest of Anthony Lee Davis, 45.

He was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and served a warrant for possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was jailed on $15,000 bond and has a January 30 court date.
