The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office this evening is investigating the cutting of a convenience store employee believed fueled by a domestic dispute.

Lieutenant Bobby Martin said the employee was cut multiple times by a person believed to be her former boyfriend. He declined to release names and did not immediately know the condition of the victim.

The assault occurred at what is traditionally known as Community Texaco on Highway 158 just past the Zoo Road intersection.

The suspect has not yet been apprehended.
