The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for three people who robbed the West Tenth Street Subway Sunday and struck two employees, one repeatedly in the head.
The employees declined medical attention although it was offered, Chief Deputy Wes Tripp said.
Around 8:30 p.m. three males entered the restaurant, the first giving commands and striking two employees while the other two concentrated on taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Tripp declined to discuss what commands were given or how much money was taken.
The men exited through the rear of the building and a canine track indicated an eastbound flight to Craig Street.
The suspects were described as black males, one wearing a black hooded jacket, a white bandanna and armed with a black gun.
The other had black clothing and was armed with what appeared to be a rusty gun.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8051 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
