A Wake County courier responsible for picking up and dropping off money to Halifax County businesses was arrested Wednesday for felony larceny.

Detective O.L. Wiltsie of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Donnell Jamal Burke, 38, of Raleigh, was charged with two counts of felony larceny and two counts of possession of stolen goods.
Burke worked for an undisclosed company and allegedly stole money he was responsible for making deliveries to and picking up from, Wiltsie said.
The alleged thefts occurred over the summer. Wiltsie declined to specify the amounts taken.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office served the Halifax warrants to Burke, who was jailed on $30,000 bond and has a November 7 court date.
