A Roanoke Rapids area man was charged Monday with possession of a stolen lawn mower.
Lieutenant Neil Aycock of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release Sergeant R. Keeton responded to Highway 48 and Grant Drive after receiving information on the stolen mower.
The information indicated Divante Lee was seen earlier that morning pushing the mower down Grant Drive.
The mower was later located and Lee was charged with felony larceny, possession of stolen property, obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor larceny.
Lee was jailed on $10,000 bond and has an October 12 court date.
