The man charged with involuntary manslaughter in the January death of Christopher Lynn Johnston faces more trouble after a traffic stop last week.
Last Thursday Jason Wallace was stopped by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, which turned the matter over to the state Highway Patrol.
Trooper R.P. Dennis charged Wallace with DWI and a registration violation. He was stopped on West Tenth Street shortly after 2:45 a.m.
There are no details of the stop. Wallace has an August 27 court date for the charges.
Wallace is currently waiting on a court date in superior court after probable cause was found last week that he allegedly killed Johnston.
