The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday charged a man with failing to register as a sex offender.

Detective O.L. Wiltsie said in April the sheriff’s office received a report about a man living in the county that was required to register.

Investigation determined that Michael Glenn, 50, was residing in the county and was registered in South Carolina for criminal sexual conduct in the third degree.

Glenn, who has lived in the Roanoke Rapids area for 10 months, was given a $2,000 bond and has a July 18 court date.
