Quick response of officers two blocks away led to the capture of three men who allegedly robbed a woman of $40 at the Motel 6 Sunday night.

The victim, 20, left her room door ajar to go down the hall. When she returned she saw three men running out of the room.

Officers who responded immediately took two into custody and located the third person later, according to Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

The three men were charged with burglary, larceny and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering.

They are Antwan Harvey, 18, of Littleton; Demondre Knight, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, and Freddie Robertson Jr., 21, of Enfield.

The men have June 6 court dates and two of them were given $5,000 secured bonds while Robertson was given a $6,000 secured bond.
