Roanoke Rapids police are investigating the theft of $5,000 in video equipment that occurred on March 23 at Wal-Mart.

While the equipment was recovered, the police department is seeking the identities of those allegedly involved.

People described as four black males and one black female entered the store and allegedly concealed video game equipment in a children’s slide box.

The people were stopped by the greeter, who recovered the merchandise but the five people fled the store and appeared to have left on a white Dodge Charger.
