A Scotland Neck town commissioner was charged Wednesday on several counts relating to metal theft.
Forest Bradley Jr., 59, faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, first-degree trespassing an two additional counts of felony larceny.
Major Bruce Temple of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the charges stem from an investigation by Deputy E.C. Carroll after reports of several thousand dollars worth of aged metal products were stolen from private property in Scotland Neck last year.
Bradley was released on $25,000 unsecured bond and has a May 16 court date.
