The men who were pictured earlier this week for suspected dog food theft from the Green Store returned and paid for the food.

Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said one of the men said he forgot to pay for it and after consulting with Sergeant Randy Keeton no charges will be filed.

In a comment left on rrspin.com, the Green Store said detectives were notified Thursday that at approximately 5:30 p.m. these two men came into the store and paid the cashier for the two bags of dog food that were taken out of the store. “However, they were not very happy (about) the video and gave the cashier a hard time but finally calmed down. We tried our best to find out who they were before we went through the sheriff's office with this. Thank you to the sheriff’s department and anyone that had a hand in helping us with this.”
