The dismissals of lawsuits between Lafayette Gatling and the city of Roanoke Rapids are official.
They were filed at the Halifax County Clerk of Court’s office late this afternoon, City Attorney Gilbert Chichester confirmed.
The dismissals of the lawsuits were a result of a closed session of city council Tuesday night.
City officials said Wednesday the dismissals might be an indication the deal for Gatling to buy the Roanoke Rapids Theatre is progressing.
