A 22-year-old Roanoke Rapids man was charged with the theft of a four wheeler Sunday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Jacob Matthew Davis was charged with felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods, Lieutenant George Evans said in a press release.
The victim reported the four wheeler stolen Saturday around 5 p.m. On Sunday around 1 p.m. information was received it was allegedly at Davis's residence in Roanoke Rapids.
Evans found the four wheeler in the front yard and it was returned to the owner.
Evans was assisted in the case by Deputy B.C. Griffin and Trooper T.D. Forsht of the state Highway Patrol.
Davis was released on $1,500 unsecured bond and has a March 21 court date.
