A 19-year-old Littleton man has been charged with allegedly stealing property from a logging site on Justice Branch Road.

The arrest Wednesday by Sergeant Steve Allen of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office also led to the recovery two four wheelers stolen from Greensville County, Virginia, Lieutenant Bobby Martin said.

Allen recovered property from the February 22 break-in, which occurred at a logging site in the 2000 block of Justice Branch Road in the Littleton area.

Allen, who was assisted by Lieutenant Neil Aycock, talked with Colton Barfield and charged him with one count of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of larceny and one count of possession of stolen property.  Barfield was jailed under a $6,000 bond and has an April 5 court date. The case remains under investigation.
