As part of Opportunity Clean Sweep, the Roanoke Rapids Public Works Department, only in November, will collect items not normally collected by sanitation crews.

The pickup must be previously arranged and approved by the Public Works Department.

Items not normally collected include lumber, bricks, concrete, roofing and shingles, sheetrock, plaster, wallboard and stumps or logs no more than 12 inches in diameter or 8 feet in length.
