One of the men wanted for credit card theft has been identified and warrants issued for his arrest.
Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said Kevin Lamont Barnes, 37, of Roanoke Rapids, is wanted for three counts identity theft and one count of financial card theft.
Barnes, whose last known address was 214 Heritage Lane in Roanoke Rapids, allegedly used the credit card to buy gas, beer and cigarettes at Community Marathon and oil from Advance Auto Parts. He also allegedly used the card to buy merchandise at Rite Aid Pharmacy.
Meanwhile, Detective Charles Vaught continues to investigate a case on June 26 where a man came into the New Dixie Mart at 1910 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway. He presented a Premier Insight credit card and bought $32 worth of gas and left the scene.
He was seen driving a black four door vehicle, possibly a Ford. A white female with blond or brown hair was in the vehicle with him.
