The fourth wave of Operation Summer Heat Tuesday led to the arrest of a Roanoke Rapids man on marijuana charges.

The arrest occurred at 318 Madison Street when detectives, narcotics agents and uniform officers acting on community tips and following up on investigation charged Charles Pittman.

Roanoke Rapids Deputy Chief Adam Bondarek said Pittman was charged around 11 p.m. with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers seized marijuana, scales, money and other materials.

No bond information was immediately available.
