Police continue to investigate a crime at Roanoke Rapids High School where three people were injured.
Deputy Chief Adam Bondarek said the three people injured did not receive life-threatening injuries.
The school is operating as normal.
Police radio transmissions around 9:30 a.m. said there was a cutting at the school in which the victims were cut with a broken beer bottle.
Roanoke Rapids Graded Schools Superintendent Dennis Sawyer declined immediate comment this morning, saying he wanted to wait for police to complete their investigation.
Bondarek said further information will be released as it becomes available.
