Halifax County Schools will host an open house and introduce the newest Early College High School to the Roanoke Valley this evening at 6.
The open house will be held at the central office on Highway 301 outside Halifax.
Rising ninth- and tenth-graders are invited to attend.
Students and parents will hear from the newly appointed Early College principal Jacque Williams.
Williams will provide information about the school’s startup as well as answer questions and address concerns parents may have about the Early College High School experience.
Jeffrey Fields, vice president of academic affairs with Halifax Community College, will be present to answer questions about course work and student life at Halifax Community College.
Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., KIPP Halifax Primary is hosting a kindergarten readiness forum.
This event features activities for students and information for families to prepare this fall’s class of kindergarteners for a successful year.
KIPP Halifax’s Kindergarten Forum will share ideas and resources to get started on the most important readiness skills.
The school is located at 9986 Highway 903 in Halifax near Dunkin’ Donuts at Oasis.
The forum is open to parents of all children no matter the school they will attend in August.
