An energy development professional and U.S. Air Force veteran specializing in health, safety and environmental compliance will lead a free, hourlong virtual presentation to share information about the role of battery storage in the clean energy landscape.
The Center for Energy Education will host a free battery storage technologies webinar on Tuesday, September 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Devin Keber will provide details about energy storage for electric generation and equalizing grid supply and demand to improve its quality and reliability.

Keber, vice president of safety and compliance at FlexGen, will discuss how a Battery Energy Storage System captures energy and ways battery storage technologies integrate grid infrastructure, electricity costs, demand and backup power options.
He will also address how safety protocols and operational strategies are shaping the future of renewable energy.
Experienced in safety administration, risk assessment and root cause analysis, he holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science/firefighting and a master’s degree in occupational safety and health technology from Columbia Southern University.
“Battery storage provides balance to intermittent renewable energy sources like solar and wind,” said C4EE Executive Director Mozine Lowe. “Please join us to learn how it provides stability to the power grid, improves resilience against outages and reduces electricity costs.”
The webinar is free and open to the public.
The discussion will include time to ask questions and engage with Keber after the presentation. The link is available on the flyer and events page of C4EE’s website
