The Roanoke Valley Aging Expo will return for the 34th year to provide participants with opportunities to learn about programs and services offered in the area. 

This year’s theme is Red, White, & You — Celebrating Seniors and will focus on health, safety, and wellness.

The Aging Expo will be on Thursday, October 9 at the Kirkwood Adams Community Center in Roanoke Rapids from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see exhibits and receive information about various health, education, social and cultural resource programs offered to older adults in the Roanoke Valley.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day with a grand prize drawing at the end of the Expo. You must be present before lunch to win.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive a free health screening that includes: blood pressure, height, weight, an eye screening, and a hearing screening. Complimentary refreshments will be provided as well.

For the first 200 people that turn in their registrations by September 19, a free box lunch will be provided. 

Interested parties can sign up in advance by September 26 at any local senior center or register at the door on the day of the event.
