On April 12 Rainbow Animal Rescue is partnering with Petsense for an event that will raise money for the organization and its Community Pet Food Pantry.
It is part of the Petsense semi-annual adopt-a-thon which will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the business located in the Great Falls Plaza.
There will be numerous vendors and food trucks. A raffle will be held and there will be community information provided from Southern Smiles Orthodontics and the Roanoke Rapids Fire Department.
The goal of the pantry is to assist families in need by helping them provide for their dogs or cats. Information is also given on low-cost spay/neuter services and the importance of regular vet appointments and heartworm prevention.
As long as there are donations, monthly events are held where food, litter, treats, and other donated items are distributed.
After six pantry events food has been provided for over 1,200 dogs and 700 cats.
Donations can be dropped off at Petsense, Discount Automotive, and the Roanoke Rapids Herald.
Those wishing to make monetary donations can do so at any of the events; via PayPal —
