Halifax Community College recognized Linda Brewer, former county commissioner and a former member of the college’s board of trustees.

She was honored, the college said, “for her unwavering support and dedication to the college and community” during a special presentation at the board’s November meeting. “The HCC Board of Trustees presented Ms. Brewer with a gift basket as a token of appreciation for her years of exemplary service as a county commissioner.”

“Ms. Brewer, who transitioned out of her role as a Halifax County Commissioner, has been a vital advocate for Halifax Community College's mission and growth,” said HCC President Patrena B. Elliott. “Trustee Brewer has been a true partner in advancing the mission of Halifax Community College. Her advocacy, vision, and leadership have strengthened our ability to serve our students and community. We are deeply grateful for the many contributions she made as a commissioner.”
