Halifax Community College (HCC) recently held a graduation ceremony for students who completed two separate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes.

The first class was for Advanced EMT training. The class began on April 23 and concluded September 12. 

Each student completed 292 training hours, and each graduate passed the state exam on their first attempt.

The four graduates for the Advanced EMT class were Leslie K. Dew, Bridgette Parrott, Raonald Todd, Jr., and Christopher Wright.

The instructors for the Advanced EMT classes were Warner Ferguson, Charlotte Ferguson, J.P. Ellen, Craig Pippen, John Bellamy, Phil Ricks and Michael Clay.

An EMT class, held at the Enfield Fire Department, produced nine successful graduates. The graduates were Bruce Allen, Phillip Clay, Tyree Davis, April Espinoza, Omar Espinoza, D’Anna Gee, Shannon Miles, Brian Multzbaugh, Jr., and Jamie Powell.

The instructors for the EMT class were Courtney Smith (lead instructor), W.C. Crickmore, Tina Bailey, Jeff Carroll, Quinton Bullock and Carla Griffin.
