Roanoke Rapids High school alumnus and current UNC defensive lineman Nazair Jones completed his collegiate career Friday in Sun Bowl.

Though the UNC Team lost 23-25 to Sanford, Jones earned the @hyundaisunbowl Jimmy Rogers Jr Trophy for Most Valuable Lineman.

Jones thanked the Tar Heel nation in a social media post Friday night:

Well that's a wrap! Can't thank Tar Heel Nation enough for cheering us on all year! Also thank you to the @hyundaisunbowl for awarding me the Jimmy Rogers Jr Trophy for Most Valuable Lineman!! #NoRegrets

Jones announced earlier in December that he will forgo his last year at UNC and enter the 2017 NFL draft.
