The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League U8 All-stars win in round 2 of the 2016 Little Tarheel State tourney in Jefferson NC beating 16 - 0 against the Watauga team.

At the plate for the Roanoke Valley team: Kyla Odom (Lightning) had a single, double and a homerun, Madison Jones (Hollywood) had two singles,  Maecy Garris (LA) had s single and two double,  Emily Clay (Fireball) had a double and a homerun,  Sara Vann (Sassy) had two singles, Shae Johnson (Two-Step) had a single and a triple, Maddie Patrick (Mad-Dog) had a single, Makenna Whitley (Coozie) had a single,  Meagan Davis (Tornado) had two singles, Kenlyn Crowder (Thunder) had two singles, and Peyton Kelly (NY) had two singles.

The Roanoke Valley U8 girls return to play at 3 pm Friday against Currituck County.
