Halifax Academy is hosting a "Yellow Out" night Tuesday night February 2nd at their home basketball games against Oakwood School.

Fans are asked to wear yellow shirts or their "Harrison Saint" shirt to show support for JV boys basketball player Harrison West who is fighting cancer.

On November 5, 2015, Thirteen year old Halifax Academy student Harrison West was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer (Ewing's Sarcoma) from a knot in the arch of his left foot.

West was able to play in a few games before he started his chemotherapy on November 25 and has been back in forth to Duke for treatments ever since. West will no be able to make the "Yellow Out" night because he will be back at Duke Tuesday for yet another dose of treatment for his cancer.

Fundraisers have already been underway and also the "Harrison Saint" shirts have been on sale and will be on sale at the door Tuesday night for $10,00 each.

Troy Smith of TD Sports who is printing the shirts partnered up with myself of RRspin.com Sports and the Halifax JV boys team will wear the yellow shirts during warm-up to show moral support for their teammate West. Coach Keeter and RRspin are making a donation to the T-shirt sales.
