Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets hosted the Bunn Wildcats at the Hive Friday night.

The Lady Jackets dropped their second conference game by losing to Bunn 45-71.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Anna Vann with 13 points, Alizae Neville with 9 points, Michelle Stewart with 8 points, Talyor Medlin with 7 points, Haley Farrow with 6 points, Erica Whitmire with 2 points.

The boys fell to Bunn as well losing the lead with 3:40 on the clock and never regaining the lead. Bunn finished with the 61-56 win.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Tyjarek Simmons with 18 points and Semaj Smith with 10 points.

Roanoke Rapids head coach Tyler Snyder post game comments. "I thought we played a good aggressive first half. They changed their defense in the 3rd quarter taking Simmons out of the game and Smith stepped up. In the 4th, we made some mistakes and they took advantage of those."
