Roanoke Rapids hosted KIPP High Wednesday night at the Hive.

Roanoke Rapids JV boys kept their undefeated streak alive beating KIPP 88-33.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Paul Whitby with 14 points, Deraj Watson with 11 points, Zack Vincent with 11 points, KJ Faulcon with 7 points, Damoni Mitchell with 8 points, Quincy Vann with 5 points, TJ Scott with 5 points, Jack Neville with 4 points, Peyton Jackson with 4 points, CJ Arrington with 2 points and Jacquan Rawls with 1 point.

Leading scorers for KIPP were: Nyguel Eaton with 16 points, Meshe with 8 points, Tyrell Moody with 4 points and Tarik Adams with 5 points.

Roanoke Rapids Varsity girls beat KIPP 51-42.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were:  Anna Vann with 17 points, Haley Farrow with 6 points, Michelle Stewart with 9 points, Erica Whitmire with 1 point, Alizae Neville with 12 points, Jordan Carpenter with 2 points, Brooke McClenny with 4 points.

Post game comments from head coach Jim Whitmire, "The Lady Jackets got back to the winning side with a victory over KIPP.   This was a total team effort.   Every girl on the roster saw valuable playing time and all contributed to the win.   The freshman guard play continues to improve and the veteren players are peaking at the absolute right time.   We get into the conference schedule in ernest Friday night with Bunn coming to town.   This year is an absolute turnaround from last year.   We sit at 7 wins and 3 losses, 3 and 1 in conference play.   We are tied for first in the conference and have equaled the win total from all of last year.   Please come out and support these athletes as we continue a very special season."
