Roanoke Rapids basketball teams traveled to KIPP Thursday night.

The Lady Jackets beat KIPP 54-44, while KIPP boys beat Roanoke Rapids 58-55.

Leading scorers for the Lady Yellow Jackets were:

Michelle Stewart with 8 points

Anna Vann with 6 pointsAbbi carpenter with 4 points F

Brionna Gibson with 2 points

Brooke McClenny with 2 points

 Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids Boys were:   James Mallory with 15 points, Tyjarek Simmons with 11 point and Semaj  Smith with 9 points.          Head coach Tyler Snyder comments after the game, "We started off playing hard and together. In the second half we get stagnant and they capitalized on our turnovers."
