The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets traveled to Northwest Halifax Tuesday night for their second basketball game of the season.

Northwest swept the varsity match-ups just before Thanksgiving break, but this time the tables were turned and the Yellow Jackets swept the Viking in both varsity girls and boys non-conference games.

The Lady Jackets beat the Lady Vikings 60-50 and improved to 1-1.

The Varsity boys also rebounded with a win over Northwest Halifax 52-41 also improving their over all record to 1-1.

Head coach Tyler Snyder stated, " We were a totally different team tonight & played fast when we needed to in the fourth period to stretch a 5 point lead into a 12 point lead in a minute and a half. I am very proud of our guys."
