The Roanoke Valley Swim Team finishd up their 2015 summer swim season on Saturday, August 1st by competing in the Nash-Halifax Swim League Conference Swim Meet held at the Harrison Family YMCA in Rocky Mount.
Roanoke Valley finished a close second to the Nash Rec. Swim Team by only 14 points. Roanoke Valley finished with a score of 457 points while Nash Rec finished with 471 points followed by Westridge Swim Club with 197 points and Birchwood Country Club Swim team with 111 points. Several Roanoke Valley swimmers received the high points award in their respective age categories. Avery Qualls received the award for girls in the 7 and 8 year old age category while Austin Fender and Elliot Sass tied for the award for boys age 7 and 8, Jamie Wright won the high points award for girls age 9 and 10. Catherine MacNichol won the award for girls in the 11 and 12 year old category. Carmen Wright won the award for girls ages 13 and 14 while Kristy Price won the high points award for girls age 15 and up and Shaun Fromal won the award for boys age 15 and up.
RVST also had swimmers place in several individual events.
