The Roanoke Valley Girls softball League Little Under 12 Tarheel League District 7 champions continued their winning streak in game two of the State Tournament Friday.
The Roanoke Valley U12 girls, who are in Clayton for the North Carolina Little Tarheel League State tournament beat Western Harnet 9-3 giviem them their first loss in three years.
Lily Curtis pitched all six innings with seven strike-outs and gave up 4 walks.
At the plate for the Valley girls were: Cassidy Dickens had a two singles & a walk, Lizzie Colston had a single, a triple & three RBI's, Lily Curtis had three walks, Kelsey Bierbauer had a single, a walk and hit by pitch & a RBI, Caitlin Bobbitt had a hit by pitch, Makayla Pair had two singles, sacrifice & a RBI, Taylor Kelly had a hit by pitch, Lilly Chappell had a sacrifice & a RBI, while Cassidy Medlin had a single.
The Under 12 ladies advance to the semi-final last two undefeated teams Saturday morning at 10 AM against Zebulon.
