LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park has thrilled fans all season long with breathtaking racing and spectacular finishes but, on August 15th, a different type of thrill is coming to “The Drama in Lucama” with an invasion of Monster Trucks.

Hurricane Force and Storm Damage, which have been featured on Monster Jam (which airs frequently on Fox Sports), as well as Equalizer and Red Solo Truck will be on hand, crushing cars and performing superhuman feats.

“Monster trucks are always a favorite for families,” Southern National Motorsports Park track promoter Langley Austin said.  “Kids love watching Monster Trucks.  These shows sell out arenas all over the country, even in places where racing itself isn’t popular.  We’re excited to be bringing this show to Southern National Motorports Park.”

The Southern National Motorsports Park Monster Truck show is the first of its kind since Southern National Motorsports Park reopened in 2012.

The event promises to be a spectacle for adults and children.  Along with the Monster Trucks, racing action for the U-CAR, Legends and Bandoleros will take place with other divisions possibly being added to the evening’s schedule.

Along with the action on the track, Southern National has a fully functioning arcade and playground on the premises at the track.

“Southern National Motorsports Park is the most family friendly short track in the region,” Austin remarked.  “I know the kids will love the Monster Trucks but there’s a lot of other activities for them here at the track.  It’s going to be a night of fun for everyone at the track.”

The Monster Truck show will take place on Saturday night, August 15th at Southern National Motorsports Park.
