Softball camp for ages 6-14 year old's.
The Roanoke Rapids Parks & Recreation in partnership with Chaloner Middle School softball coach Jen Ott will hold a softball camp July 14-17th. The cost is $40 and includes a camp t-shirt. Sign up at T'J' Davis Recreation Center before Saturday July 12th.
Camp for kids ages 10-14 year old's will be from 9 AM - Noon. Camp for kids ages 6-9 year old's will be from 1 PM – 4 PM both at Roanoke Rapids High School field. Bring your own glove, bat and helmet.
Coach Ott will be working with fielding, base running: lead off, steal, delayed steal, slide (as most games are won and lost with base running and it is typically least practiced skill), hitting: bunting, dragging and slapping as the game is won with short and long balls, sliding (even with a slip n slide for cool technique practice) and will also work with the catchers and pitchers on skill building drills.
