The Roanoke Valley U14 girls softball All-stars beat Cashie 11 - 4 in the U14 Area tournament opening game Friday morning.
Sidney Smith pitched for the RV girls and had 10 strike outs.
At the plate for RV: Camden Bierbaurer went 3 for 4, Karen Alston went 3 for 4, and Meagan Colston went 3 for 4.
The U14 All-stars will play Ahoskie at 5:30 PM today (Friday).
