All-star softball action this week.

The RVGSL all-stars will see Area Tournament action this week in Windsor. The Roanoke Valley girls softball league will send a U8, U10, U12 and a U14 team.

With Roanoke Valley moving to Little League charter in the softball this season they were aloud to play a area tournament with the same teams as previous years in Babe Ruth. Not all teams in the Area tournament are Little league charters so Roanoke Valley could not win the Area tournament but will still be invited to the Little League District tournament in July in Ahoskie (U8, U10 and U12) and in Windsor (U14).

Alan Mitchell will head coach the Under 8 team and will open their play Thursday a 5 PM against Elcipaca.

Jen Ott will head coach the Under 10 team and will open play Thursday night at 7 PM against the winner of Cashie/Dare Co. earlier in the day.

Bill Ewer will head coach the Under 12 team and will open play Wednesday night at 7 PM against Elcipaca.

Chuck Hasty will head coach the Under 14 team and will open play Friday at 9 AM against Cashie.
