Roanoke Rapids hosted Southwest Onlsow Friday night.

#4 seed Roanoke Rapids Soccer beat #20 seed Southwest Onslow 3-2 in 2nd round of the 2A NCHSAA State play-offs.

Down 0-1 at half-time, Roanoke Rapids scored it's first goal 12 minutes left in game by Harley Shearin to tie 1-1.

With seven minutes remaining, Kayla Miller scores and now Roanoke Rapids up 2-1.

Onslow answered with a goal with 33 minutes remaining to tie it back 2-2.

Then with 35 second remaining on the clock, Harley Shearin passed to Kayla Miller who scored the game winning goal

for the 3-2 win.

Roanoke Rapids will host winner of #5 seed Carboro / #12 Dixon for the 3rd round Wednesday.
