RRHS falls to South Granville by a score of 4-2.

Kyle Vincent took the loss on the mound.  He pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 runs, and striking out 9 batters.  Ryan Williams pitched 1 inning, giving up 1 run, and striking out 2 batters.

 

Both runs for RRHS came off solo home runs.  Ryan Williams blasted a home run over the right centerfield fence in the 1st inning.  Dylan Allen launched a home run over the centerfield fence in the 7th inning.

 

"I am proud of the way our guys battled all the way to the last out tonight.  We were vocal and working behind each other tonight.  We need more of this to get through this rough patch.  Kyle pitched a good game.  He was a tough luck loser tonight.  We are going to hit the practice field hard and get better," said coach Mark Snead

 

 

The Yellow Jackets dropped to 12-6 on the season and 9-4 in the Northern Carolina Conference.  RRHS wraps up the regular season on the road at Bunn Friday night.  The JV game starts at 4:30 with the Varsity game to follow.
