Roanoke Rapids High School Senior Ryan Williams recently signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Campbell University next year.

"I just want to thank God, my parents, and all the coaches I have had along the way.  It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get to this point, but I am happy to be able to continue my playing career at Campbell University next year."  said Ryan Williams

Ryan Williams has had an outstanding prep career.  After 3 seasons at Northeast Academy, Ryan has continued his success during his senior year at RRHS.

"Any time you can add a great student-athlete like Ryan to your school and team, you feel blessed.  You can tell that his parents have instilled a great work ethic in him.  He has a dedication and passion for the game of baseball that has led him to become the talent that he is.  It is this dedication and passion that leads him to get better each day.  I am so happy for him that all his hard work has paid off in such a wonderful way.  I am extremely proud of Ryan."  said RRHS Head Coach Mark Snead.

Ryan had several offers to play baseball at the collegiate level, but wound up choosing Campbell for several reasons.  "I really like the distance from home that Campbell is.  I have also attended camp there since I was 14 years old.  They have always shown an interest in me and I have always liked them as well.  The relationship I have built with the coaches, the steady improvement they continue to make in the program, and the wonderful facilities they have are what led me to sign with Campbell." said Ryan Williams.
