The Roanoke Rapids Varsity Baseball team picked up a 7-4 conference win on the road at Franklinton on Friday Night.

Kyle Vincent picked up the win on the mound.  He pitched 6 innings and struck out 12 batters.  Ryan Williams picked up the save by pitching a scoreless last inning.

Leading hitters for RRHS:  John Clayton had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Dylan Allen had a double and 2 RBI.  Logan Smith had 1 hit and 2 RBI.  Carson Arthur and Caleb Pratt had 2 hits each.

"We played hard from start to finish tonight.  It is tough to get up for two big games on back to back nights like this, but we were able to play well and pick up this conference win.  Kyle pitched well and our defense was solid behind him.  Our offense struggled a little at first, but we made adjustments at the plate and were able to put some runs on the board.  This is really a team first group of young men and it showed again in the way we played tonight," said coach Mark Snead

RRHS improves to 8-2 on the season and 5-0 in the Northern Carolina Conference.
