Halifax Academy varsity baseball traveled to Parrott Academy Tuesday night.

Parrott is one of the top teams in conference if not the top team.

The Vikings strike 1st scoring 3 runs in top of the 3rd and then added another run in top of 4th and 6th innings.

The Vikings came up just short losing 6-5 in bottom of 7th inning.

On the mound for Halifax, Ryan Mizelle was the starting pitcher. He and Luke Blackman each pitched 3 1/2 innings. Mizelle walked 4, struck-out 3, allowed 6 hits and 4 runs. Blackman walked 1, struck-out 5, allowed 3 hits and 2 runs.

At the plate for Halifax, Luke Blackman hit a double in top of 3rd scoring Tyler Jomo and Bradley Myrick. The leading hitters for the Vikings were Tyler Jomo and Bradley Myrick with 2 singles each (Jomo also had an RBI), Luke Blackman with a double and 2 RBI's, Collin Smith with a single and RBI, Andrew Bryant with single, and Ryan Mizelle had a double. Matthew Wray had 1 RBI with a sacrifice fly to center field in the top of the 6th inning to tie the game.

The Vikings travel to Kerr Vance Thursday.
