Roanoke Rapid's Breanna Allen made her debut on the mound Tuesday.

Roanoke Rapids girls came out of a 8-8 tie in the fifth inning to win 12-9 improving their overall record to 8-1.

Breanna Allen pitched four innings giving up 2 walks and striking out 7 batters. Sierra Hearp came in for the save pitching the bottom three innings striking out 5 batters.

At the plate Roanoke Rapids:  Hunter Martin, Breanna Allen and Brooke McClenny each had 2 singles, Sierra Hearp had three singles.

Roanoke Rapids travels to NC school of science Math Friday April 4th.
