Get well Donald Shields

If you attended a local High school football, basketball, baseball, softball or even Middle or youth game in the area you have seen Scotland Neck native Donald Shields in the mix. Donald has been a Referee or umpire for the local youth and NCHSAA for I know more than my 12 years in the area. Shields has also Refereed State High School football championships and State basketball Championships and several High School State All-Star football and Basketball games over his 23 years career.

Shields has been admitted to Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro and in ICU according to his daughter. Mr. Shields was complaining of shortness of breath and High Blood pressure issues. Ms. Shields states her Father is resting and doing well. He has High Blood Presure and fluid build up. We are hopeing he will be moved to a regular room soon. She ask to keep her Father in your prayers.
