Coach has will to coach again

KIPP High Softball coach Mike Newsome is improving according to his wife Jeane. Coach Newsome was admited last Friday to WakeMed in Raleigh suffering from a stroke. Mrs. Newsome stated, Mike has had two great days and was moved today (Thursday) to WakeMed Rehab Hospital within WakeMed. He will have 3 to 4 weeks of rehab. When staff asked coach what his goal was to reach from his rehab. Coach Newsome said, "to be able to coach again". Anyone who know coach Newsome, knows he will be back on a field somewhere soon. Mrs. Newsome wants to Thank everyone for the prayers and continue to pray for Mike. She said friends are more than welcome to send cards and letters to the post office box and she will make sure Coach Mike see's each one. the address is Mike Newsome, P.O.
