Chaloner seventh grader attending The Annual Invitationl-Only National Competition
twelve year old Chaloner Middle school seventh grader Jack Neville attended a weekend National Football Academies (NFA) Quarterback Off Season Development Camp in Charlotte Mar 8-10th. The National Football Academies OSD camp accelerates understanding and execution of each player's primary movements (mechanics), while helping them develop the ability to self-correct, not self destruct under pressure. This goal is achieved through a simple process of Installment, Implementation, and Application of the training content. As well as preparation and performance, leadership an character aspects of the role of quarterback were also addressed.
NFA Skill Score is a comprehensive battery of assessments that measures all aspects of an athletes ability including rapid cognition decision making, speed, strength, stamina and position specific performance. Scoring will be kept for all age groups and the top player in each age group will be named the National Champion.
In the 7th grade division, their were about 15 kids and 5 were invited to attend the Dual in Canton, Ohio in July. Neville's football coach at Chaloner is Kirk Wynne. Nevile is the son of Robert and Treva Neville of Roanoke Rapids.
